Overview

The areas of planning, scheduling, and design are sharing methodologies and often use the same or similar AI based techniques. However, the communities do not overlap and joint meetings are rather rare. The workshop aims to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas, concepts, and problems between  researchers and practitioners from the areas of planning, scheduling, design and configuration.

The workshop was held from 21. - 22. August 2000 in Berlin as one of the workshops at the European Conference on Artificial Intelligence (ECAI 2000). It is also the 14th in a series of workshops of the special interest group on planning, scheduling and design (PuK) of the German Gesellschaft für Informatik. The workshop was also organized as a PLANET related meeting and receive special support by PLANET.
